One night, I was eating hard candy (a bad habit of mine), and I bit into it and felt shooting pain in my tooth. I knew I had a dental emergency, but I did not want to bother my dentist that late at night. I took pain relievers that barely dulled the pain, and I had the worst night of my life. I couldn't sleep and counted down the hours until the dentist opened the next day. When I called, the receptionist told me I could come in right away. When I arrived at the dental office, the first thing my dentist said was that I should have called the night before, because he was in the office treating another dental emergency! I created this blog to remind others that you have to put yourself first sometimes, and in the end, you may not even be inconveniencing anyone after all.
